President's invitation

On behalf of the Wisconsin Society of Anesthesiologists (WSA) Board of Directors, I invite you to join us at this year’s WSA 2024 Annual Meeting, Bridging the Gap: Perioperative Patient Safety. We are excited to host this year’s meeting at the Madison Concourse Hotel in Madison, WI.

The Program Co-Chairs for this meeting, Drs. Aaron Chopee and Courtney Kohn, both at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, have organized a diverse and exciting program. Topics include professional and executive coaching, malignant hyperthermia/LAST, non-cardiac surgery for patients with valvular disease, workplace safety and relationship-centered communications, perioperative planning for post-operative pain, preoperative optimization and two panels on obstetrics and difficult airways. We are also offering two workshops on Saturday, Point-of-Care Ultrasound and Regional Anesthesia.

Additionally, please plan to join us at the reception at the hotel following the Saturday program. It’s free to attend with your registration. For a list of things to do or dinner venues in Madison following the reception, scroll down. I look forward to seeing you all there.

Sincerely,

Christina Diaz, MD, FASA, FAAP
